An essay, as Jan Bąk’s book illustrates, is not just a product – whether literary or cinematic – but a certain way of being, an attitude, or even an existential project. To write about an essay, one must become an essayist.

Jan Bąk (2000) – is a graduate of screenwriting at The Leon Schiller National School of Film, Television and Theater (PWSFTviT) in Lodz. He works on hybrid forms of film and literature. A co-founder of the  student magazine Spisek [Plot], he is the author of short stories, articles, reportages, and song lyrics. His interests include philosophy, music, and dream cataloging.
